PCA and Allegiant Painting Join Forces to “Paint It Forward” in McHenry, IL: Touching Lives, One Brushstroke at a Time
McHenry, IL – Founded in 1884 with a commitment to excellence, the Painting Contractors Association (PCA) has always stood as a beacon of integrity and skill within the painting industry. PCA’s mission has been to unite master painters, uphold industry standards, and promote a sense of community among painting contractors.
On September 22nd, 2023, PCA and its dedicated member company, Allegiant Painting are set to make a profound impact on their local community in McHenry, IL, through their Paint It Forward initiative. This initiative, which began as a local program in Greater Los Angeles, has grown to touch numerous lives across the nation since being adopted by PCA and its company members in 2023.
This year, Allegiant Painting, a proud PCA member, has taken the helm of the Paint It Forward event in McHenry. Their mission is to paint a brighter future for the Alexander Leigh Center for Autism, a school specializing in education for children with autism. In a true display of community spirit, Sherwin Williams, a trusted partner, has donated over 120 gallons of paint for this remarkable project, and their representatives will join in the efforts.
What sets Paint It Forward apart is not just the paint on the walls, but the hearts behind the brushes. Allegiant Painting has pledged 100% of its resources to this cause. Their dedication to community betterment reflects the core values of PCA, demonstrating that when passionate professionals come together, they can create lasting change.
This year’s Paint It Forward event will kick off at 6:30 AM for registration, with painting activities taking place from 7 AM to 4 PM. After a day of transformation, Allegiant Painting will host a banquet from 6 PM to 10 PM to celebrate the collective effort and the positive impact it will have on the McHenry community.
Paint It Forward is not limited to PCA members—it’s a call to all painting companies and professionals who wish to contribute their skills and make a meaningful difference in their communities. In Illinois, only two companies actively participate in this initiative, and nationally, approximately 30 companies have joined the cause. Together, they aim to expand the reach of this noble initiative, leveraging their craft to benefit deserving causes.
