Award Winner: Dan Brady Painting Services, LLC

Description:
Dan Brady Painting Services received this project because of their excellent reputation and experience. This 14,000 square foot mansion has been an historical architectural treasure near downtown Traverse City since it was built in the early 1890s. Originally built as the Perry Hannah home, today this building serves as the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. It was last painted completely 20 years ago and needed wood repair and restoration as well as removal of peeling paint. Because so much time has passed since its last complete repaint, there was a lot of peeling paint which took a team of employees nearly two weeks to remove completely. The home also had old lead-based paint on it which required removal in accordance with EPA guidelines. Other challenges faced during this project included reaching the tallest areas of the home, highlighting the architectural trim of the Victorian mansion. This job required skilled and experienced painters, and working around a schedule as to not interfere with any funeral ceremonies taking place at the home. The project was finished before the deadline date and on budget. The client was very satisfied with the project and shared their thoughts in a video interview, commending Dan Brady Painting for their exceptional work in restoring this architectural treasure to its former beauty. Congratulations to Dan Brady Painting Services, your work has earned you the 2018 PCA PIPP Award for Commercial Restoration Exterior.
